Ballet slippers

After a day of tap dancing with my fellow blogger Laura, yes, you read that right- we tap dance. I usually slip into my big fluffy (men’s) work socks, and call it a day. Okay, you see, that’s the problem. They are white, too big and horrendously ugly. Yet, I wear them hidden everyday underneath a pair of expensive shoes- did I mention I love shoes? Anyway, as many before Laura pointed out, I needed new house shoes- I suppose my friends failed to see the beauty from within. I looked for three months to find the perfect shoe for my weary old soles and finally, I saw them, staring at me from the window of my favorite shoe store. There, shaped like a giant ballet slipper, were the slippers of my dreams (inhale…exhale, slowly). Pia Rennt's designs are definitely for girly-girls who enjoy indulging in whimsical, I still think I can dance the Nutcracker, kind of dream. Soft, plush and blissfully bejeweled are what makes these slippers special. I hate to admit it, but I feel really good when I slip them on. My husband still shakes his head every time I jete to the closet with folded clothes.
