Haba Hand Bags

We find inspiration in some of the strangest places, but when my daughter asked me to “make her a purse” I froze stiff in my tracks. Did she just use the word ‘make’? I’m all for everything creative, and she knows that, but I can’t sew or stitch a darn thing. I remember having to stitch a pig pillow once in 5th grade, but it looked more like a big pink mistake instead of a pillow. So I pondered, looked out my window, and got inspired….to go shopping. With two little one’s in tow, I had a small window of opportunity to find the perfect (inexpensive) “homemade” handbag for my daughter. Luckily for me, it didn’t take long. Who would have thought that Haba, a German specialty brand of wooden toys, also made purses…for kids. Not only were the bags cute, they were VERY cute, and at 10 euro apiece, I was sold. Even the vibrant colors of the Tasche inspired me to create a new color scheme for my youngest daughter's room.
