I love products that help kids gain confidence, so when I was first introduced to the Laufrad I knew the Germans were on to something. This "running" bicycle enables our little ones to acclimate themselves with the feel of the bike, while learning to balance without the use of pedals. Imagine my surprise, when my daughter, who has never been on a bicycle, managed to maneuver corners without tipping over, and acquire speed while lifting her feet- all within the first hour of riding. As any mother of a daughter knows - looks are everything - so as long as her helmet had sparkles and the Like-a-bike came in pink, she was all for it!

Thanks for the link to this post...that is a very cool bike! Maybe I can give it a try with one of my younger munchkins (the five y.o. is onto a regular 2-wheeler)!
