I suppose my love for the book and film, 'Under the Tuscan Sun' encouraged my need to live abroad and own one of those cute little Vespas. I never did get the Vespa...too accident prone and made husband nervous, but I did move abroad.
Lucky for my girls, we've been fortunate enough to discover, throughout Europe, fun 'running bicycles, cool school accessories and most recently this gorgeous wooden scooter from French company Moulin Roty. The wooden Vespa screams 'I belong somewhere on the Amalfi Coast with my hair whipping through the breeze.' The color is dreamy and the idea of a child's play toy that is not electric (and not a Bobby Car) is highly appealing.
