I saw these stick-figures from the Germany company Kellner a few months ago in Cookie magazine. And my son was lucky enough that the (parents-in-law) easter bunny brought him the bunny set, "Häslein Hopps", or "Hoppy Hare." These wonderful toys let your child create different figure combinations with the wooden and plastic parts. Our son was quite occupied on a good part of the six hour drive home from the in-laws building “mama bunny” and “papa bunny.” Kellner uses locally-grown beechwood to carve the wooden parts and the steckfiguren have also passed the generation test; my husband also used to play with them! Just please keep these away from very young children due to the small parts. Available in the US at pucciManuli (search for “steck figuren”) and in Germany at Kinderdinge.
