Why go bland and boring when you can go big and tasty with our 'Chocolate-Banana Surprise'? After presenting my sister's oldest son 'B' a cooking inspired gift set for his 6th birthday, I promised him, upon arrival in the states, we would spend a little bonding time together in the kitchen. Never being one to back down from anything 'B' was ready for the challenge and ready to get his hands (and apron) dirty.Realizing quickly my crepe idea would be impossible without proper materials I decided to do the next best thing...recreate my favorite wintertime treat (crepes) by replacing the dough with tortillas and using sweet combinations like Nutella and cream cheese instead of the traditional ham and cheese. Our idea was starting to turn into something fabulous, and the outcome was nothing less than spectacular. After using (4) mouth watering ingredients, we had a hit on our hands and a new favorite in the family.
To try your hand at Big B's creation you'll need the following:
-Olive oil (to crisp the tortilla)
-(1) jar of Nutella
-(2) medium sized bananas
-(1) tub of cream cheese (we like the whipped version)
-(1) package of slivered almonds
-(1) package of tortillas
*Preheat the oven to 450F (230C), Brush the tortillas (lightly) with olive oil, spread the unoiled side of each tortilla with cream cheese, top one tortilla with nutella (not so lightly :0) over the cream cheese, add the slivered almonds and of course your freshly sliced bananas. Top with the second tortilla (cream cheese side down) and bake until crisp, 8-10 minutes. SERVE IMMEDIATELY, our creation tasted much better warm. Serving more than one child? No problem, pull out your pizza cutter and divide into equal parts. Enjoy!!

MMM that sounds delicious!
Sounds great. I put everything in flour tortillas. This morning is was strawberries and strawberry jam. I also like peanut butter and sliced banana, or for lunch, shredded chicken and cheese. Yummy.
