We have a wonderfully unique advertiser, Puppi who supplies the most amazing handcrafted dolls in Germany. I realize you probably think I'm pushing her products because she advertises with us, but that's not the case. The owner, Frau Jungst, a lovely, lighthearted woman who works passionately with her handcrafted lifelike dolls has developed a great way to celebrate her creativity. Her concept is unique, and unlike that of the American Girl phenomenon whose body parts are less than stellar, Puppi offers a lifetime playmate with tested body part pieces that are healthy for our children to play with.In true Puppi form, Frau Jungst is continuing to celebrate little girls and their passion for doll play by opening a brand new, two level, multifunctional ''PUPPULAR' facility in the Altstadt of Wiesbaden. Located in a beautifully ornamented old townhouse 'PUPPLAR' will, for a small fee, host elegantly planned birthday parties with (5) of the birthday girls closest friends and an array of specialty 'add-on' items such as; child's first ballet class with a performance (in the end) hosted by a classical ballet dancer and teacher, spa afternoon for birthday girl, her friends and their Püppi Dolls (incl. nails, massage, hairdo), dressing up like fairies while reading fairytale adventures and singing fairy songs or artfully creating their own handmade little crowns that the birthday girl can choose from.
Included in the (2-hour)150 Euro fee is a beautiful little sparkling (no Kitsch!) tiara for the birthday girl, cupcakes (also Gluten and or lactose free in case your child is allergic), hot or cold cocoa, cold drinks like lemonade, juice or water and a plate with a variety of sweets in every little girl's favorite color, pink. Everything is served on porcelain - no plastic, and 'PUPPLAR' will, upon request, order a specially designed personalized birthday cake (not included in price) from famed Konditorei, Cafe Maldaner; located within walking distance from the shop. Their incredibly delicious bakery creates cake designs in all shapes and sizes; little handbag-cakes, gift box-cakes with a tied ribbon made of Marzipan and other charming surprises for your little girl's special day.
Frau Jungst's idea to combine so many colorful activities for our kids to enjoy is a welcoming change to the typical German thrown birthday parties...I LOVE IT! If you are, however, looking for something a bit different and would like to spend an afternoon celebrating your daughter and her new Puppi doll, one can participate in the 'play-eat-ballet class-and-whatever-girls-like-to do-area' that will be established on the first floor of the Grabenstrasse townhouse.
I realize the economy plays a large role in our decision making process when deciding how large our child's birthday party will be or how much we're willing to spend on their birthday gift, but I have to believe somewhere indside we want to skip the 'made in China' label and invest in real (in this case German) handcrafted pieces for our children. I believe in Barbara's ideas and would love to see her 'Puppi' name and ideas carry on for years to come. Allow the magic to unfold this holiday season with Puppi and the wonderful products and developmental ideas they have to make your daughter's dreams come true. Enjoy the site and enjoy researching the love that has gone into making Puppi the success that it is today.
*PUPPLAR will be hosting an all day Grand Opening event,November 7th, on Grabenstr. 6, 65183 in Wiesbaden. See you there!!!!

what beautiful dolls and how lucky you are to live near "Puppular" ...my older daughter loved American Girl dolls, she got her first when it was just a small company...now the whole AGD thing is so huge and crazy and mass produced...maybe my baby girl will get a Puppi doll instead :)
I know the dolls are more expensive, but they incredibly unique; they are built to look exactly like your daughter, contain all parts that are made completely in Germany (where their standards are very high) and they are simply beautiful. The owner, Barbara Jungst is also a pleasure to work with- she will help with any questions or concerns you may have.
