I never knew stringing lights could be so...

Okay fellow expats who live in the city and people who have windows in general please take note: drying your hair naked in your child's room with the shutters open is not a good idea. Case in point, yesterday. I'm a mother, in a rush, rarely shower anyway, so of course on this special day of showering AND washing my hair I quickly decided in order to save time I would skip dressing and immediately befriend the hairdryer. Imagine my surprise when poor little expat me was standing face to face with City Worker #1 and a few minutes later City Worker #2 stark naked in the middle of pink paradise and an Elmo doll. Boy did they get an eyeful. I realize it is there job to use the lift in order to generate holiday spirit (hang Christmas lights) around the Marktplatz, but I was BENDING OVER trying to get volume, BENDING OVER. I do hope they take into consideration that I've given birth to (2) children and although intriguing, this would be the end of naked hair drying forever. So if you are reading this City Worker #1 and #2, I'm aware that I will be the topic of this weekend's and probably next weekend's Besenwirtshaft but please note this was an isolated experience... I'm American and still trying to get used to dropping towel in the sauna.

OH MY GOSH, mortifying! But really quite comical at the same time! I've been caught stark naked before in a hotel room.... the bell boy later brought me a robe... ;)

Oh. My. God. I would have died. At least you gave them something interesting to talk about when they got home. :)

Well, at least he looks pretty happy.

Oh no! I am very surprised that has not happened to me yet because I walk around sans clothes sometimes after showering because I hang my towel and then walk to my bedroom to get dressed. I keep the blinds closed all the time, but my husband opens them randomly so I never expect it. Eventually some of my neighbors are going to get a peep show too!

Thankfully I can laugh a lot about myself and take ridiculous situations (that I put myself in) lightly!!
Although...the 'bending over for volume' part makes me wince every time. Ugh, if I only knew.

Haha. Rough morning indeed. I'm sure the city workers preferred to see you over your husband in the same position!
