I'm not sure what has gotten into me lately but I feel happy, happy, happy. The kids are growing older, my days are becoming 'slightly' easier and my renewed interest in Yoga has gained a new follower, my daughter 'L'. I used to teach 'not-for-the-weak-extreme-power-fitness-yoga' and Pilates in the states before work- yes, I was one of those insane people that taught yoga classes at 5:30am (and had a 60-person following I might add) and then decided to have two kids and an incorrigible schedule. So bringing myself back into the forefront, I scoured the internet for kids yoga mats (not an easy task here in Germany!!) and decided it was time to retrain my limbs and help my daughter appreciate a favorite practice of mine, Yoga. Our initial home class was a bit 'interesting' but after a few go-abouts we are proving to be a successful team. My husband even asked last night why our daughter seemed so relaxed. I can't entirely say it's our new found bonding exercise (we did have a VERY fun weekend shopping together in Stuttgart and dining at our favorite places- mostly ice cream stores) but I'm sure our 'Om' moments have a little something to do with it.
