Red Kaufladen

A very popular toy in Germany is a Kaufladen. This is a little selling stand where kids can play grocer and customer for whomever stops by! I know big brother plays with the neighbor kids' stand for hours and I have considered this as a second birthday present for baby brother.
It offers so many open-ended play scenarios and of course an opportunity to stock up on Haba's fantastic grocery items.

Although expensive, I love this little red kaufladen from Haseweiss. It's not too big (we always have limited space issues in German apartments!), my boys love red, and the drawers and adjustable shelves look great. I wish the canopy was not quite so pink, but I am sure my talented mother could sew an alternative for it. Will let you know if we end up getting this!
