We attended a fabulous party on Saturday night with the kids and other families from big brother's kindergarten. Everybody dressed up as movie stars or related friends, and we danced until way past everybody's bedtime.
But one of my favorite parts of Carnival are the Berliners, or Pfannkuchen. These donught-type pastries are filled with various fillings, the most common being jam, but can also be cream or pudding.
Which one of these would you choose?
You know that I have a great weakness for anything related to chocolate, so I'm sure you can guess my choice!

For some reason I had a problem posting a comment here yesterday, but working fine today!! Anyway, I love this time of year because they only make custard filled Berliners (my absolute favorite) during Fasching. I would love to know why, so if any of you are in the loop, please fill me in. They are, however, delectable and well worth the wait :-)
